Hi All - Newbie

Hi all - new person here. Presently looking a obtaining an older (2005 up) Vantage or DB9 Volante. Presently have a 2002 Ford Thunderbird.

I found one (actually several), but one actually catches my eye. It is a 2007 DB9 Volante. The dealer is reporting that on acceleration, there is a slight hesitation and skip. I am suspecting either a COP or clutch - or even both. This make sense?

Thank you and hope to find one that suits me soon before winter sets in...

Scott

invest in a ppi and take it to the dealer. Save yourself the headache searching forums and throwing money at theories
until it works right

good luck!!

^^^ Good advice.

At that age, depending on mileage, it could be misfires caused by failing ignition coils. If so, that's about $5K right there.

Fairly common with the V12, rarely hear about it with V8s.

+1 on the coils (along with plugs) needing attention. Call around and get some quotes.

I strongly suspect COPS/plugs and the mileage is about right - 31K miles. Did a title search and its clear, All the campaigns have been done. The price looks really good. Since 2007, probably a Ford COP like a 529. They had issues with them then. I had the same issues on my T-Bird.
