Monterey Car Week Events 2019

Received confirmation late yesterday that I had secured a spot in the "Cruise In & Car Show" being held next Saturday morning at the AM @ Sunset Center location.
Any other 6speeders attending?
Other events of interest?

I will be driving down from Walnut Creek but will be driving my 430 Scud down. I have been told they wont let me park my non Aston. Are you going to the lunch too?

Skipping this year. Attended last two years and felt a little mundane tbh. AM staff who flew from UK were very cordial though. AM US staff seemed very distant. Don't know why. Even the Bridge of Weir blokes were friendly.

I was however very impressed with Bentley's event. Received a proper education on how the interior wood pieces are selected and trimmed. Even did a small DIY project with the craftsmen. Test drives, food etc.

I'll be there

I'll be heading down on Friday and driving over to the AM event on Saturday morning with my DBS. Last year was a good time, nothing totally remarkable, but the AM staff was great and got to check out some of the new cars. Plus it's in downtown Carmel so you have lots of options for the afternoon that's a short walk away.

Not aware of a Saturday lunch; perhaps different marketing demographics at work?

If it was there, I missed it...
All in all, I found everything rather disappointing as compared to earlier years; also not a singe piece of swag for the Drive-In participants, as opposed to what we received the first year.
Saw the DBX at the 11AM preview, though.

Met this interesting fellow at the car show. Just sitting on the bench. Had a nice chat. Congratulated him on the way he's diversified the models. He gave me a coupon for 20% off my next purchase. Not.
