Hi
i want to access my car’s rear quarter window motor/regulator
I removed some of the upholstery pieces but I am not sure how to remove side panels.
Any tips/ pointers will be greatly appreciated.
please see attached photo to see how far I was able to go.
thx
Hey there, are you trying to replace the window regulator? If you are, we may be able to help you with a less expensive alternative to the part. We offer a regulator rebuild service for $149 and we use metal parts. It comes with a lifetime warranty. Let us know!

New to the forum and saw your question on advice re how to remove the rear seat trim panels - having removed the (obvious) two bolts ... just the hidden 3 fir trees to go!
No one replied but from the rest of the thread you clearly succeeded ok..
I am at exactly the same point and can find no info on this next step - did you just "Pull" :-)

there is a screw deep inside that silver hole where one would insert wind deflector
asko there is screw inside the small cover which moves in and out as you open and close the roof
you can PM me your number and we can do fave time as my car is open in that area and can show you tge parts
Thanks for the quick reply, and sorry for being slow to get back to you !
Found those two hidden bolts/screws - well they didn't say anything about those in the manual did they ! :-)
Have removed these but the panel is still very firm...
Looks like, from removing these two, that the whole panel removes rather than just the lower section as implied in the service manual - i can clearly see bolts on the inside of the panel holding the two sections together..
Ok, given the confirmation that it was the whole panel - not just the lower section as implied in the Workshop manual (thanks Wildcat!) I found a second Torx right down inside the Latch cover. With this removed, and the sill cover as well, panel finally came loose with a tug on the remaining three Fir Tress.
Seat Trim Panel Removal - additional fixing locations
Thanks to Wildcat - location of additional fixings not described in Workshop Manual for removal of side trim - Noting whole side trim panel comes away as a single piece (again not as shown in Workshop Manual)
Torx buried deep inside silver ferule where Wind Deflector goes
Two additional fixings inside sliding latch cover - one Philips (side) and one Torx (vertical front). Opened roof most of the way and then unclipped metal rod connecting latch cover and slid back to reveal both fixings.
Trim panel removed showing Speaker assembly etc
Eight Allen bolts hold the Speaker/Seat Belt assembly to the bulkhead. Disconnecting the terminal block in red allows panel to be hinged away easily for access to inner cover
