Finally got around to updating my 2009 AM DBS wheels and calipers. These images do not do it justice but we finally got these where we needed them to be with style and tasteful updating. I did a triple chrome upgrade process to the wheels and updated the calipers to a Brembo Red with detailing the ASTON MARTIN DBS lettering with silver and black outlining (painful but well worth the time and investment in multiple templates!). My painter is super finicky and wanted to get it just right...we took three weeks in downtime but finally happy with the results.
Wheels: A lot of initial feedback on the wheels was to paint them stock and stay away from chrome but i'm glad I stayed with my gut instinct. Our chrome process is long and time consuming but well worth the way they came out. Just right for the way it should have been from the factory.
Calipers: We decided to add 5 coats of clear just to be safe on the calipers.
Great work takes patience and even tipped my painter and extra bit for all his hard work (Outstanding work comes at a price). I need to get a better camera and aim to post better pix shortly. Caught these ladies admiring the Bond DBS mobile
Right, initially I was also not a fan of the chrome wheel setup yet the proof is in person to see how it all comes together (glad I took the risk). I will definitely try to get close images of the caliper paint detail and script with a new camera.
IMHO- that car is begging for little bit bigger wheels, but thats just me.. Looks great . well done.
Right JB, interesting observation and you have a point especially when, we can notice some of the AM 2013+MY cars went up to bigger factory wheel setup.
I've only seen one to very few 2009-2012 AM DBS that have a bigger aftermarket wheel profile which seems to look very well tailored yet included lowering springs.
Otherwise, I've always been a fan of Aston stock wheels over aftermarket. How about you? Are you a fan of aftermarket wheels on Aston's? Did you stick with stock or aftermarket on yours?
BTW- We need to get another PFS Aston group cruise going again; until then Happy Astoning....

Yes, I'm big fan of original wheels. Some aftermarket wheels are nice, but I chose to go OEM route on all of my cars. My wheels are from 2015+ DB9/DBS models, they're 20's I had several 19 oem setup on my vantage, ( even Vantage Zagato wheels) but always thought 20 inch is the proper size that fits perfectly on my car. Also lowered it just 3/4 all corners with VAP springs. I'm really happy with final results.
Definitely on cruise, hopefully I can make next drive.
