2019+ Vantage ecu tune

Has anyone done one here? What brand? Happy with it? I am potentially shopping for a tune.

Thanks.

Subscribed eagerly and looking forward to some real word numbers (ie dragy times)...
Multiple companies with bench flashes but ecu removal required or port flash at remote facilities to me at this time. Im probably holding out for a handheld flash so I can uninstall it and switch maps but its a small market. Renntech HHT is in the pipeline but probably distant. AMR performance comport access tuner is coming “soon”.
If neither is available by summer then ill prob stay stock in 2020 other than secondary cat delete.

There's also Keller Performance, which is who I'm going with for primary and secondary downpipes later on this year. I'll probably get the DME tune after the downpipes. Keller Performance and DME have extensive experience on the AMG63 cars and I've seen impressive gains on AMG C63 and AMG GT cars with that combo.

Thank you for the info. I'm new to the Aston scene, but I purchased a 2020 Vantage last week and with only 60 miles on the odometer, I already have a CEL. The dealer is saying it's a problem with a cat. Can you educate me as to how many cats the vehicle has? Also, if you remove a cat, will you need a tune?

Looks interesting. Curious what the baseline numbers were, and what kind of dyno that was. Also interested to know if the DME tune can work as a handheld or is an ecu send jn.

The problem is likely with one of the 2 primary cats (where the sensors are). There are also 2 secondary cats in the midpipes under the car which are passive. If you remove the primaries (in the downpipes) you will need the cel tuned out. Supposedly a secondary cat delete is plug n play without cel because there are no sensors associated with those.

Bueller? No one tuned their turbo vantage? No tuner presence on the forum?
Thats the thing that has kept me from pulling the trigger on one of these tunes. So many options, zero handhelds. No real world results or experiences. And im assuming these cars are crazy expensive to repair if needed.

Might be best to leave it stock or just go to a local shop to get dyno tuned. At least that way you have some “support” if the car starts acting goofy. I understand the amg motor and zf trans are stout but british electronics and that e diff scare me

... correction, velocity AP is active on the forum those guys are nice. However, im not ready to pull my ecu out

Hello,

Glad you found us! We have had ECU Tuning available for the New Vantage for nearly a year. We're running a very safe calibration which makes around 580BHP. Properly documented & calibrated by our Software Engineer Chris Edgett (15 years as a factory trained Tech.) We currently offer secondary cat deletes and lowering springs for this platform, and are finalizing some Beta versions of our primary cat deletes, valved exhaust and larger tail trims.

We're also doing some work with our UK distributors on their own Vantage, being documented on the dyno and verified in the real world. They ran the car from 50 to 150MPH (under controlled conditions) against a Huracan Performante a couple weeks ago and it was a dead heat.

Separate response to this one. Where are you located?

Reason I ask is - Bench flashing is only one of the options available for tuning these ECUs at present. We have OBDII solutions available through our dealer network, not all our dealers have the equipment but many do. There may be a local OBD flashing option for you.

We are also working with one of our tool suppliers on getting a hand-held option functioning. It's already available for the Mercedes 4.0T engines in Mercedes vehicles, we've tried the same protocol on the Vantage but it's not working so we're providing the tech info to them to get it up and running.

If u get the handheld count me in. Im near chicago i dont think u have tools around here. Plus i wanna be able to flash back to stock myself

Does your engineer know if aston scanners at the dealer do a checksum automatically when plugged in? Like VAG com for vw/audi? I dont want aston’s equivalent of a TD1 flag
