Oddly, my Porsche CTEK cigarette lighter doesn't fit in the Aston, I know some don't like having the cord hang out of the door, but I don't care . . . Have done it for years.
Was even considering mating a female cigarette lighter (that fits the CTEK) and a male cigarette lighter (that fits the Aston), then said screw it, I will over-pay for this do-hicky that has the cool magnet. I guess we are all suckers for magnets (read: Magsafe, HaHa) - Glad the link helped, KH

HI -

My older OEM CTEK Battery Conditioner that I purchased with my V12 Vantage failed over the winter, causing my battery to die.
My car is coming back to me from service and need to find a new conditioner this week. My dealer is quoting $950CDN for the current AM battery conditioner which seems way over the top.

Just wondering if you are all still recommending the CTEK MXS 5.0 in 2023? Anyone with using an of the NOCO products?

Appreciate any input.

You can find the latest AM battery conditioner for cheap on eBay or other like sites... Got a new one for ~$110 . If you're not finicky about the label, you can buy the non-AM OE version, it's a Optimate 6 :

I place an orange microfiber towel on my windshield to remind me when the car is plugged in.

I'll be one of the many to admit I have driven off with CTEK cable still plugged in.

That's a great find! I use the Aston battery condition on my 2019 Vantage. If i know I won't be driving the car for at least 10 days, I connect the charger. These cars like/need fully charged batteries or you can start to get electrical gremlins.

If you do not have a maintainer, consider the CTEK MXS5.0. This maintainer is well suited for these cars and it uses an 8 step process:

This maintainer typically goes for around $100 +-. Well worth the money. It will come with a couple of different ways of connecting to your car. You would need to purchase the magnetic connector for the one built in.

I personally do not use the magnetic one on my DB11. I've heard of problems with connections on AMs and Bentleys. My connection is via the power distribution block under the hood. I connected the CTEK eyelet connector directly, then just tuck the pigtail under the dist block when not plugged in.

I keep my car on the MXS5.0 anytime I am not driving it and parked in my garage...which is a lot.

That is how I connected the CTEK in my XK, right to eye let connections on the battery and had the quick connect for the cable when needed.

That is a good way to do it and what I did on my XK8 and XJ and XJR. On my DB11, because the batt is under the back seat (if you can actually call it a back seat), I am connected to a power dist block under the hood. Red to the large batt wire connector under the plastic cover Ground to the ground (jumper) terminal shown, CTEK quick connector which I just tuck under when unplugged. After connection, I can close the hood completely especially if the car is going to sit there for a while.

I use Noco genius 5. No problem at all. My CTEK died as well and within the 5 years. Could not reach anyone at the company to warranty it.

Thanks for all the input!

After watching some reviews and some further reading, going to try the Tecmate Optimate 6 Ampmatic - (available from Amazon) and will also purchase the OptiMATE CABLEO-02 Adapter that will fit directly into 12V socket in the boot.
Many people complained about the CTEK’s running very hot, & poor customer service.

As mentioned in a previous post, the Tecmate Optimate 6 are Aston’s current OEM conditioners, less the badging. Any problems, I’ll report back.

I had signs made up to remind me that my vehicles were attached to their battery maintainers.
