Feedback - Inspired Autosport in Chantilly, VA

Anyone ever had AM work done here? I see they are a VAP partner... Thinking about the clutch upgrade...

Thanks in advance!

Never heard of them. Let me know how it goes.

I go to Loudon County Exotics.

Ask VAP if no one chimes in. They'll give you an honest assessment if they'd recommend them for a clutch upgrade.

What year is your car, and is it ASM or manual?

I missed the part about you wanting to do a clutch upgrade. When I upgraded the (ASM) clutch on my 2008 V8V Roadster, I ordered the parts from Stuart and had them shipped to AM Washington who did the install for me.

I looked at your other posts, appears you have a 2012 ASM car. There are two processes in addition to the clutch install which will need to be performed - one is to reset the clutch statistics. This can be done at the dealer, but can also be done by a number of aftermarket diagnostic tools. The second is to erase the misfire adaptations (to the best of my knowledge can only be done at an AM dealer) and perform the coast-down procedure to store the new adaptations.

Do you know if the shop in Chantilly can install your clutch? I picked them off of the VAP website...

I don't recall exactly how much I paid for the clutch install. I think I paid around $8.000 for parts (VAP 200 cell sports catalysts, ECU tune, and twin plate organic ASM clutch) and labor. Just call them and ask for an estimate on a clutch replacement.

If you're thinking of getting the 200 cell cats or other exhaust work done, consider having it done at the same time since the exhaust system has to be removed to access the clutch and you can save on labor costs because then they'd simply install the new exhaust bits rather than reinstalling the stock bits.
