It's really sad, imo. A car is supposed to have that WOW factor. The new Vantage simply does not impart that I must have one of those feelings. I typically don't keep a car beyond 5 years, but the new Vantage is simply not calling me like my current Vantage V8S did.
It's a shame really because I've always loved the brand.
Oh well, just a thought.
I agree with you. The previous cars were stunning to behold. The very definition of powerful elegance. It didn't take any "getting used to" or emergency refreshes to enjoy the shapes and proportions. They were just right. Which makes it almost impossible to follow up with a new generation car that lives up to the standard. These cars surely don't. However, I think this subject has been beaten to death. I'm glad the people who own the new cars are enjoying them, for me, there's no interest.

I agree. I've never been impressed with the looks of the R8. It may be a great car to drive, but it's proportions and details are odd. I don't know that I'd call it an Edsel though, it's not a flop by any means.

What? If you know cars, you know what (and who) the Edsel was.

IMO, it's the first actually good looking Ferrari since the F355. It looks like Ian Callum designed it.
