Where are my exhaust valves?!

Out of curiosity I figured I would take a look under the car to see what the valves were doing (2006 V8 Vantage 4.3 Coupe)..

This is what I was expecting to see,

i.e. two pipes coming out from each side of the silencer, with exhaust valves on one of the pipes.

However, what I actually saw was,

i.e. only 1 pipe coming out of each side of the silencer and no sign of an exhaust valve anywhere!

So, what do you think? Perhaps I have an aftermarket silencer fitted or something and the exhaust valves deleted?

Thanks for your input.

Definitely aftermarket. Maybe someone could ID it if you have a complete picture. As long as you like the sound no need to change it.

Thanks, I figured. I do love the sound, so I'll keep it.

But I completely wasted my time and money posting this up back in 2011. Hilarious!!!

Btw, I now have a worthless (to me), remote relay gizmo to manually operate the valves, pm me if interested.

HA! Sorry, I'm picturing you pressing the remote multiple times and listening for the change in sound. I'd keep the remote with the car and label it so the next owner will tell all his/her buddies how much louder it gets when they bypass the valves.

Grand idea!

I think I had actually convinced myself at one point that I could hear a difference - but doubt nagged at me so I took a look underneath and all was revealed!
