Drop a plum bob from the trailing edge of the boot lid to the floor. Move the diffuser rearward until it touches the line. If the line does not clear the bumper you could consider adding a rear spoiler or try to get a GT4 wing. The trailing edge of the diffuser needs to extend out some from the bumper.
I think you should slide the diffuser aft and up until it aligns with the trans cover. Tape it in place, drop a line, and take a look at it.
Also - I would not count on using that diffuser, rather it could end up as a mock-up for a bespoke which you necessarily fabricate.
The problem with OEM, especially at the Mustang price point, is it designed around form rather than function.
If you build bespoke consider working closer to 8 degrees.
I'm all for modding cars tastefully but picking the worst design mess up of the new model is VERY ballsy.
What is it about the new front that you dont like? I’m not impressed with all the mesh either but opening the Vantage front is alot better than the Ford Focus look it has today...
The real ballsy ones are the three out of the 1,000 viewers that actually responded to my thread!

I have an overall problem with the new car and especially the front bumper.
Opening the front sounds great, I love the Vantage AMR pro grille.

Zett, I love that AMR front and thought about going with that one but once I saw the 2019 trim on ebay my design light went off... I think the dash on the new design is too Ferrari like... The Alcantra everywhere is too much...
I just wanna say thanks to all who have been watching and replying. I know my mod is disrupted to some, ballsy to others and interesting to the rest! 🙏🏽
My main motivation for this radical mod was the lack of aftermarket front ends OUTSIDE of AMR. Two, was my design challenge in seeing if I could design/build without cutting up the car. I have found it very interesting in how the 2019’s look wider than the 2015 but the radius is exactly the same. There are a lot of “trick of the eye” with the new design but both cars measure within cm’s of each other.
They installed small, thin headlights that give the illusion that the grill and hood are longer and wider but rim to rim across both hoods = 1.5cm difference.
I’m trying to decide if I want black mesh or the chessboard/slat front like the 2020MY. I would have to build a new grill with plexiglass to get the proper radius.
