I am interested in upgrading to the new gen 2. Valentine one radar detector. Is anyone currently using this new detector? If so has it solved the false alarms generated by the newer cars radar generated by their lane warnings?
Hi...previously had an Escort which actually got annoying as it picked up so many false alarms due to other cars' lane warning systems.
I switched to a Radenso Pro M ....spectacular, filters more than 99% of false alarms...you might want to compare this to the new Valentine if false alarms drive you crazy.
Thanks,
JH
Certainly the early reports are great, I have one on order but I have to use a re-mailing service to get it down to NZ.. so it'll be a few weeks before I see it.
I have no personal experience with the Valentine but I've read good things. What mounting method are you using? I ask because I was finally able to get a Blend Mount and love it. I had finally had enough of my Escort trying to dent my dash and landing in my passenger seat. Oh and I hate wires. So, I tapped the mirror's power for a nice clean install. If you like the Blend Mount idea, let me know and I can get you a discount code.

Blend mount along with their mirror tap power cord system is certainly my recommendation. A couple of years ago I worked with their tech team to develop the first Blend mount application for the Aston Martin Vantage, specifically for the Valentine One radar detector. (Process on my website)
Based on what I am hearing I plan to wait a bit before upgrading to the Gen 2 version which has had good reviews.

Great minds and all that. But, more importantly, I should say thank you for working with them to get us one. Love those guys, their tech support and customer service are really great.

Just ordered the Escort, how is your mount holding up? Do you have a link of which one you bought with discount code?
There are a few options on Amazon, but they have mixed reviews.
Thanks!

The mount is holding up great! It took a bit of searching and I'm not even sure it'll still work but the link is: https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fblendmount.refr.cc%2Fjasonbro wn77%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR0e1vET8q8BJmCO1h_xF3-1mbRgO2LtA7CHZGJbHRKeLkAvv_T6JHlxb6k&h=AT0EaBnA2L8 ruikt_SZEPCVLe2FvvIpw50NDni6yeFEjOFNJLfgf8wUjetVCb Aums8fePSvnacyldjzUCW7Kci57LMG-qLDyw_ExLs38jjMPByH3678l_WS2Ov7j29JyRA&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]http://blendmount.refr.cc/jasonbrown77 The correct mount for my Escort is the BMX-2029. Before you pull trigger, I'd shoot them an email and confirm that this one will work with your model (magnet vs. tang mount). I can personally testify that they are very responsive to inquiries. Overall it can be a bit fiddly attaching the mount but a little common sense and a muscle relaxer (I started cramping up because I'm old, out of shape and the way I had to bend lol) If you have any other questions or want to see a pic or three, just let me know, I'm always happy to help out.

Radar Roy and Vortex Radar have tons of information about radar detectors. The Vortex guy has plenty of side by side tests but he talks a lot. He starts to drone on like Astronomy 451 but he does have the info you want.
I thought I posted this before but DO NOT BUY ANY DETECTOR except a Radenso. They are hands down the best PERIOD. There is a Uniden, can't remember the model, that is really good also. The Uniden, one guy in the detector department, was responsible for making the electronic the best. He is now and has been at Radenso for over the past year. Seriously, they are that good. Take my advice you wont be disappointed.
Anyone in this thread have experience with the escort 9500ix?
My Escort 9500ix is resting comfortably in its presentation case with all accessories in the garage. I rely on my other 3 V1 and like the easy setup and use. The Escort works well but I like the direction arrows of the V1. Maybe I'll look into a newer detector once I get a ticket.
