2020 has been a strange one to say the least. Been hearing that we will go on a national lockdown for 2 weeks. Stay safe my fellow AMers!

 

Sadly the hysteria is far worse than the virus. Small businesses can't weather this storm. Economy is on edge.

Went out to eat tonight. Restaurant wouldn't hand out menus since they couldn't sanitize them, and only seated every other table.

 

Stateside - All School Districts in my county have shut down for four weeks. Admin still has to show up. Parents with jobs/kids is going to be difficult.

 

Seems economic impacts will get a lot worse, and last a lot longer, than the virus cycle

in Australia it's just starting to take effect, but the ripples will be widespread and long lasting, business failures, supply chain breakdowns, unemployment, inability to pay mortgages, credit cards, realestate and asset values dropping

i hope I'm wrong but I see this being very significant and not sure how the world economy will cope

as OP said stay safe, look after your loved ones and neighbours and do whatever you can to limit this thing
