They are a sponsor of our forum so I thought I would buy some N-95 Masks from them. I signed up and sent them the money plus tax and figured that they were a bit expensive but perhaps the quality would be good. I am not sure but I expect that they not spectacular in any sense.
Well, they are based in England, they ship from China and they charge sales tax in all states! HMMMMMMMM Well anyway, one thing they do not do is inform you that with shipping you can expect them to be delivered some time in the next year! This was not, in my opinion, a very good investment on my part. I really think that sponsors should have to meet some significant integrity standards as I bought them as I figured they were already vetted.
What sponsor on this forum is selling masks? Btw...it is not realistic to expect quick delivery of any Covid items. But still if a vendor of this forum is acting irresponsibly I want to know about it...I’ve only had to ban two before in 15 years

This is the one that was and is on line one on the forum for Aston Martin. They alternate with a ceramic coating company. If you click on the link you go to https://juicytrends.co/products/safe...rotective-mask where I ordered 3 for $125 and was supposed to get 2 more included.
Interesting that they charge tax. To me, that is a pure profit pick up as they are not a USA company. (England) I do not know if they will ever ship so my thought is simply that our forum members should be a little cautious as they may not be legit.
Those are not sponsors of this forum but are pop ups you get when you are not completely logged in to our site..I’ll see what I can do to get them blocked...thanks
As far as I know those BS ads are only supposed to be visible if you are viewing as a guest and not logged in to your account...there must be some crack in the site code that is allowing those to be visible and I’m sure IB will want to fix it. I have reported it and also asked them to contact you personally so you can give them details regarding your device and op sys. and get rid of those buggers...I don’t see them at all...I’m using an IPad Pro
I am properly logged in and I did log out and then back in and still see them. I am using a very up-to-date, very fast PC (Intel processor) with Windows 10 Pro operating system which is also up to date. I have seen them for quite a while so I thought that they were legit. Thanks for your help and assistance.
Ok...interesting, I have an up to date w10 pc that I use in my music studio that I built recently with top of the line stuff. I’ll test with it tomorrow and see if I see those turds...I know I don’t see them on my MacBook Pro or iPad....in the meantime, please don’t click on them as I have no idea if they are just data miners looking for your info or some other type of malware. I think Joseph or one of the techs at IB will be able to explain why you are seeing them and how to get rid of them. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!
Pop up adds that rotate in/out of the sidebars of a website are the "bane" of a site owner. I know what a PITA they are to police, and can only say "Caveat Emptor".
I'm currently ticked at myself and Amazon. Bought something on Amazon, only to realize after the fact that the store was in China, and what they sold me was second rate crap, deceptively advertised to con the tired into thinking it was the real deal. Curse you Jeff Bezo! (And Caveat Emptor...)
Hey @scotstern do you have any screenshots of the specific ad you're talking about? Chuck is right in that a "popup" is usually reserved for logged-out users only, and AM4884 is also right in that the rotating banner ads (which are not pop-ups) in the side bar or the top/bottom ad slots usually are targeted by advertisers based on specific browsing habits/trends of each user, so a portion of the ads served here (and anywhere else on the internet, really) are served specifically for you, so they're really out of our control.
I appreciate your diligence but I think the problem might be a forum issue. I would suggest that you look at the screen shot. I am properly logged in so that cannot be the issue. I might suggest that you place a warning on the site telling people about this so as to save the issues in the future.
