Falcon75 is infamous around these parts
V8 Vantage headlight washer cover

I need some advice for a relatively minor matter. I recently discovered that the small semi-teardrop shaped cover for the washer at the base of my left headlight was missing. See the attached photo. My car did not come equipped with the optional headlight washer, so this cosmetic black plastic cover apparently was only held in place by a spring hooked from behind. I have a replacement part (from Scuderia) and to use the spring connection, it would appear that I would have to take the left tire off, remove the inner lining and gain access from behind the left headlight. In short, that would be a royal pain! Is there any reason I cannot simply glue the cover to is former position? I cannot see any reason not to, but, since this is an Aston, I figured it better to ask. Perhaps somebody out there has similarly lost this small part and can advise. Thanks in advance.

Use 3M double sided tape, cut in shape / outline of cover and apply. It would be preferable to using any kind of permanent glue.

or...some simple caulk or a light adhesive would work... just trying to hold in place during car washes and spirited driving

Or..remove the wheel + inner fender lining + airbox, insert new part and be done with it.

Entire world's on quarantine, you have other plans?

Sure it's an Aston Martin, but it's still metric nuts, bolts and screws..
