Question What are my options?

Second time this has broken in past 3 years and I'm interested in what others have done as alternatives.
This is the plastic piece at the bottom of front bumper cover on a 2007 Vantage.
Cheers, Ryan

Sacrificial part that unfortunately breaks due to material design. You can opt for a carbon fiber like the N420 OEM one.
Bigger cost, but holds up. If your constantly scraping in driveways and parking curbs then stick with what you have, its working as designed.

Brettannica is infamous around these parts
For me, I'm about to pull the trigger on the V Collection CF front splitter (among a host of other parts) to replace this but I'll also be fitting the additional aluminium chin splitter that they sell to complement it. Might be worth the outlay??

If you go directly to chinsplitter(.)com its $350 cheaper. Problem is you need to drill into that new carbon to mount it. I'm not sure if it's a correct fit for OEM or the V splitter. The hot setup is DIY stick on kit that's less than $150 online. SLiPLO.

Sweet mate
I'll follow that up and see what is required. Much appreciated.

I always wondered if such such a splitter actually doesnt make things worse - due to the fact its further lowered (=less clearance) and less flexible?

Hi Spider,
Logic says it may do, but I think it all comes down to modifying one's driving behaviour. I'd be happier if it actually poked out by 5mm as a bump-stop.

Thumbs up Thanks for the feedback

Glad to see there is an aluminum option - that is the material I was thinking of.
Checking further it appears they fit 2012 V8 Vantage and newer which is a different design than my MY 2007
Therefore for now, I repaired my black plastic one and repainted it satin black.
