AM Vantage V8 Rearview mirror????

I have found this Picture on the internet... Cannot remember where...
The Mirror is definitely much smaller ( and much more handsome than my -06 Volvo Part. ) but seems to sit on the standard Aston Stalk.

What is it- and can the normal Mirror be exchanged with this Part???
Regards from Sweden! Hans

When I replaced the mirror on my DB9 I was able to pop the stalk out of the back of my mirror by gently heating the mirror assembly to soften it. It came out with moderate force. Putting the old stalk in the new mirror I did the same heating but also cooled the ball. Popped right in.

I think the older Vantages had a smaller mirror.

Agreed. That mirror is identical to my 2007. Later on the mirrors were changed to larger units.

you are talking about the outside mirrors not the interior one, correct...?

the outside ones on my 2009 are the thinner ones...I like the look...

regarding the inside...I swapped mine for a high tech one with video screen fir front and rear camera... used the Aston mount. Works great, never use my old antiquated nav screen...

Here are 2 pictures of the outside mirrors on the Vantage V8 ! first and second generation ! The picture I showed, is definitely smaller, also taking in acount that the mirror is tilted inwards...

It's not smaller, it's folded in. The perspective makes it look smaller. You can see it if you zoom in on the photo where the mirror meets the stalk.

They should auto-fold whenever you lock the car with the fob (mine do).

Well...I actually found the Answer myself.... The Outer Mirrors on Aston Martins Vantager V8 s, are all from different Volvo models, as Ford owned Aston,Volvo and Jaguar at that Time.
The mirror I showed is actually one of two modells appearing on the Volvo S 40 - V 50 series 2007-2009.It is called " The small mirror"....
I have never seen it on any Aston before - Perhaps this car is for a special Country? But it does not make any sense..I am prettuy shure that it is interchangeable with at least theGen. 1 mirror, but it will be very expensive, if you do not buy used ones. I think I will do that, and if, i will post some pictures here! Regards! Hans
