Lowering my vantage - Labor Costs ?

Looking to lower my 2011 Vantage S with some Velocity AP springs. Can anyone share approximately how much it costs to get it done at an indy shop ? I’ll probabbly just source the springs myself online ... but looking for a rough estimate on labor + alignment.

thanks in advance.

It's not a hard job, maybe 4-6 hrs ( not including alignment) depending what is the hourly labor rate. If it's more than that try another shop.

I did this job myself. Front install straight forward but I found the rears quite difficult to reinstall.

As a word of warning on my 2010V8V these dropped the front way more than advertised and too low.(scraped everywhere) Drop was 15mm rear and 35mm front. I think they were probably specced for the earlier model before the bilstein dampers.

I have since put a poly spacer in but it is still more of a drop than the rear. 20mm drop @ front. Make sure you measure before you install to understand the drops.

VAP

Yes, I was very surprised too. My shocks are standard Bilstein ones. It’s been a real pain too be honest and I probably wouldn’t bother again. I’ve had coilovers on other cars and at least you can set them as required.

i know the VAP website lets you pick the springs based on if you have the oem sportpack or comfort. Do you remember picking ?

Yes it was picked for comfort shocks, but apparently the front springs are the same in both kits.
