misfire monitor not enabled

hi all... trying to read misfires on my 2009 V8V with Foxwell 510...

under 'Misfire Monitor'.. reader says not enabled... and no misfires are reported... is this something I can turn on or does dealer need to do this? is this something that gets enabled with the 'coast down procedure?'

Yes, you need to learn the misfire corrections. Easy enough to do yourself.

AstonCarma is infamous around these parts
Sounds like the coastdown procedure. Every OBDII reader seems to call it something different. Depending on where you live, often late late night or very early morning are the best times to do this, where traffic is minimal. I recommend having the coastdown procedure from Aston in hand though, as if you're stopped by an LEO for erratic driving, you have some evidence of what you're doing and how you're trying to be as responsible as possible given the chosen timeframe to perform the procedure. I've attached the procedure here, if it helps.
