What is the difference? Neutral via single or double pull of the paddle shifters.

Ganz is infamous around these parts
What is the difference? Neutral via single or double pull of the paddle shifters.

So I notice you can come to neutral on a V8V when stationary by :
1. pulling the paddles shifters together once for a slightly long duration, or
2. pulling them twice in rapid succession.
In the first method, the gear position indicator says N but in the second it makes an audible sound and a text display comes on in the console saying that the gear box is in neutral etc.
Just wondering what the difference was.
