Odd locking issue with 2006 DB9, any ideas?
So my 2006 DB9 has decided to start locking itself after I’m away from it for a while. This would be great except my fob doesn’t work so I have to unlock it with the key, set the alarm off, look like and idiot until I can get the key in the ignition. I found the auto lock setting in the radio menu and unchecked it and figured that would solve it. It didn’t. It still locks itself. Any ideas why it might?
Have you disconnected the battery, and let it sit for a bit. Who knows what "agitated" state it has put itself into...
Mine started dinging the door open bell randomly after a hard bump. Had to shut it off, open the doors and then the hood to get it to stop... Like WTF... But, it's gorgeous, so like any hot car you just have to roll with it and feel lucky.

Weak batteries can cause all manner of strange behavior, either because they are old and failing or discharged.
You might check the age of the battery and measure the voltage with the engine off. A healthy well charged battery should read about 12.7V.

Try the passenger side, sticking lock barrel from lack of use or cables that actuate the lock/unlock process. Or the dreaded door latch problem that comes and goes at random times. Exercise your locks first.
