they say imitation is flattery...
the long hood, short deck, narrowed waist, high window, low stance, and large wheels are indicative of many modern front-engined sports car designs. in fact, looking back through history uniformity in automobile design, IMO, is a hallmark of the industry. as it is in many others. artists don't live in a vacuum, after all.

I guess I'm just getting old, not even 50 but I can't gel with >90% of the styling out there now. Was there some kind of societal shift in aesthetics that I missed out on? Case in point: new BMW 4 series. That grille presumably had to be approved at the board level. Is there no-one who spoke up and said "stop - that is just plain ugly?" Do they really all like it?
Or buy nothing at all and add to my nest egg.

I thought the new BMW grills are too small.............. they need to make it even bigger. ( sarcasm)

I like to think of more Star Wars - The thing I don't like about Lambo's is the Star Wars interior - the Hurcan looks good from the outside, but I can't even sit inside one for a minute. The weird shifting mechanism in my C8 Corvette is a Star Wars item, maybe to be Hurcan-like, but it's odd. When I get into the car and want to drive, I still hit the shift paddle - and nothing. The Aston, to move forward simply hit the paddle - easy and intuitive. Now I have to reach down to a weird looking lever to pull up, then press M for manual to use the paddles. With Aston you intuitively use the paddles, with the C8 you are isolated from using them. I'd say, the odd shifting mechanism was something for the Star Wars - video gaming buyer, otherwise for a digital cockpit they did a pretty good job. The older Aston's are far more elegant, but the C8 is not a bad place to be - more put together and less hodge-podge than the new Vantage. I think the Roma more successfully blended digital with elegance.
