Hi, can someone confirm if the jaguar thermostat housing seal, part number AJ8 003525 SEAL fit?
thanks,
a year ago when i had to replace the faulty and original thermostat on my 2007 vantage, i bought the AM thermostat housing seal too (it was about $28.00(!) online from astonbits or maybe ebay, i don't remember where...), thinking it would need replacing. but when i got to the point of fitting the seal, it didn't look like the right part for the job in that it was shaped not like a seal but like a rubber rim or big, stiff rubber band that was too narrow. i didn't chance using it. it's possible that i didn't know what i was doing (very possible), but whatever it was and for whatever the reason, it was not needed, as everything worked out alright without its use. that's about all i can say. here's a pic of what i bought. it's the rubber ring on the right: https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/c...G?format=1000w
There was a thread on here a while back about T’stat replacement and it had all the alternate part numbers for Ford T’stats and the Jag O rings I think .
Motorcraft (Ford) thermostat housing seal will work just fine. Part number RTS1079. Yes there are Jaguar versions that also fit and the one you listed appears to be correct.
