I'm running 20 inch wheels on my Vantage S, and was told the setup would transfer nicely to a V12 should I upgrade

305/30/20 in rear and 255/35/20 up front. I can look up the exact offsets if you're interested.

I sometimes wish I went with 315 and 265, but am happy I didn't due to all the dirt the wheels kick up on the car.

Very nice! Has your car been lowered, or is it stock?

I've left it stock as I needed the extra clearance the 20" wheels provided to get into my driveway.

I was originally going to lower it .5 - .75 inches, but the move to the new place wouldn't allow me to get up my driveway

The larger wheels and tires fill out the wheel openings well. I have been thinking about going to 20's. The offsets on here are all over the place it seems. What offsets did you go with?

Prefurbia: If you do want a V8 Vantage later I'm going to have a beautiful 2009 for sale in a couple months (30k miles). Just bought a 2014 and will be moving up to it.

Already have a V8

GWP: I have a 2011 V8 Vantage I'm pretty happy with. All my old Vantages were under factory warranties, this is the first non-warranty Vantage so I'm free to mod it: Aston Martin Bits Bamboo Ski Slope and glass buttons, 2nd glass key, Quicksilver Exhaust VelocityAP 2nd Cat Delete, AMR Racing Grill with motorcycle LED headlights inset, V12-RS Factory (OEM) Carbon Fiber Bonnet, 20" font and 21" rear wheels (used from DB9), Michelin PS4's, 20K Mile Aston Martin Service just done

- uh, I think that's it besides new Xpel and CilaJet. I miss the V12S, but this will suffice.

I wouldn't mind some additional pictures of the grill with inset lights and stagger wheel setup :-)

Additional info wheels and grill lights

Below are pictures of the lights and grill. The original grill was bent, so the AMR grill was less and seemed to be more logical for inset lights. I found KiWAV LED motorcycle lights and by sheer luck they fit the insert (indent in the central bracket) as if they were made specifically for the Aston Martin. The mounting and holes made in the grill I did myself - the last time I did a project by myself was on a 1969 Camaro - that was in 1969! So it was a shear miracle the holes actually aligned with the lights. Then I sanded the black off the aluminum grill by hand experimenting (see below). I had a professional wire the lighting to the headlights. Seeing at night is no longer any problem. The all silver looked too 'in your face' so I looked at the old vantages and they were painted often body color - so after a few colors all looking pretty much awful, I ended up with Midnight blue. The Wheels are 21" and 20" and used so I really don't know the spec's. The tires are 245/35's front and 305/25's rear - being PS4's the rides still OK. The cars a Sports Pack model that's a bit stiff drive anyway. I wanted more sound and found a new quicksilver setup that was 'used' but never installed for $995 to get more sound. After installing I discovered it was the touring exhaust that was less sound, so I did the CAT delete, now it sounds good.

It's an old tread, but I thought I'd ask,. Where are we heading in market for V12, V8 Manual Vantages next 5, 10 years? $$$$?
I just picked up one, gonna be big brother to my 13 V8 manual. I can't wait to get it , it's gonna be long 24 hours......

Maybe but historically the trend with Astons is $$$$ -> $$ -> $ -> $
I bought my 2010 manual V8 ($140K MSRP) in 2011 with <3000 miles for $89K and thought I got a great deal but 5 years later it was worth around $40-50K...
Now it seems Classic.com thinks it is worth $47-61K. I think they are wildly undervalued though and do expect some rise in the future as the ICE and manuals disappear forever and the V12 should have a premium because its a unique formula. For whatever reason, they just don't seem to appeal to a lot of people or scare people off or something. I will say they also never annoy people (unlike say a Porsche/Ferrari/Lambo) where people will cut you off in traffic, flip you the bird for no reason, key your car, etc... Vantages seem to make people smile and give thumbs up but then no one buys them...

For personal perspective on value I just bought a same year (2010) very similar mileage (12K miles) Porsche 911 GT3RS for just under $300K. So both of my cars were worth the same when they sat in showrooms the same year and now 14 years later, with similar mileage and both looking and driving essentially new, the Porsche is worth 5-6x the price of the Vantage...

But my father in law who knows little about cars thinks the Vantage is worth at least 2x the Porsche...
