Vantage starting with the key

I have put on a few hundred miles on my new-to-me '07 V8VR manual and absolutely love it, though there are some minor issues to be ironed out. One of them is that the car initially was starting as usual using the push button, but is now starting with just the key. Is this something to be concerned about?

i would be concerned... and probably, for starters, think that the button was stuck. just a WAG (wild assed guess) though.

the above seems to be a logic assumption - does the start button still light up / do you still need to press the clutch to engage the starter?

The start button does not light up, but I will check to see if it is stuck. Thanks for the suggestion.

Confirming the start button was stuck. It was an easy remedy, but I'd be interested in any suggestions to keep it from happening again.

@TR-Spider, that and for the driver (me) learning to pay more attention to the little things.
