So I just signed the paperwork on a 2006 Aston Martin v8 vantage 6 speed manual with 5200 miles, power pack and tubi exhaust. Thanks to the forum for providing me with hours of reading and research on the quirks of the car and things to look out for. Fortunately timing gasket has been replaced and clutch not needing replacement any time soon. Here are a few pics. Car still needs to get cleaned up for me to pick it up tomorrow.
It's amazing how new a well kept 15 year old Vantage looks! My first 2015 V12S I sold about 5 years ago, locally owned has about 65K hard driven miles on it, and other than some corrosion on the stalk of the drivers mirror looks showroom new. These are truly amazing cars, and today are appreciating (unfortunately for me as I'm in the market for my next Vantage). Nice find - enjoy!
Already put 300 miles on it in 2 weeks. The car seems to wake up a little more with each drive.
the more I drive the v8v, the more I feel that instead of increasing power (will never get that much power without spending crazy money) I should got with the AMR dual clutch to improve the throttle response.
