i was always under the impression that a quick blip of the accelerator with the heel while the right toe is still on the brake pedal (aka hee/toe) was used to facilitate and expedite downshifting while braking. of course, i could be wrong. the time lag from blipping the pedal and any useful increase in RPM is interminable on my vantage. can't imagine how it could be helpful. and it's even worse when in reverse. anyway, it has reminded me of an old golfing joke...one saturday, a guy comes home tired and five hours late and his wife asks him, “what took you so long?”

the guy says, “that was the worst game of golf I’ve ever had. we got up to the first tee, and harry hit a hole-in-one and immediately dropped dead of a heart attack.”

the wife says, “OMG! that’s terrible!”

guy says, “i know. then, for the rest of the game, it was hit the ball, drag harry, hit the ball, drag harry, hit the ball, drag harry. . .”

+1. VAP ECU tuning w/ twin plate resolved the delayed response nearly entirely. Easy hill and toe every corners. VAP tune is amazing!
