I needed a touch screen.... the OEM is still there... truth is I don't really use the cameras... the screen/wheel = useless

Runs Car Launcher
Automatically connects to the Vantage BT everytime (car defaults to media on start - BT connects)
The unit auto connects to my phone hotspot for wifi
Its Android 11 for those Apk folks...
wired to 12v charging socket. Shuts off when car is turned off (I have Tasker to trigger events..)
If I need the other screen, I just pull the android down..
My radio is presets so I just switch between radio and media the OEM way
The CANBUS is tied to the BT so you can still use the wheel in apps like spotify

I agree. I wish the new Vantage screen could be tucked away like the original Vantage.

I have Tasker running my automation on start up and putting it to sleep when the car is turned off. My tasker script triggers when the vantage is turned on and the cars bluetooth tries to connect to the tablet. If youre not a tasker user, I would suggest you watch some utube videos on it. I have it set to turn off BT and WIFI when the tablet goes to sleep.
I also use greenify and app kill to shut close all open apps when I turn he car off...
