Recently sold my 14 V8 6spd that I absolutely loved, and picked up this wonderful V12 Vantage manual.
Bit of history I found out during the inspection process, this is/was the very first U.S. production V12 Vantage. Even used as a press car (Jan 2011 issue of Road & Track). Mako was an extremely limited color, 20 cars for the whole run for the world.
Sheesh that color is so absolutely beautiful. I've always been a DBS/Vanquish person, but WOW that Vantage is amazing.
Thank you very much!

Both do the GT cruiser thing very well, but the V8 was more nimble comparatively. The V12 thrust makes coming out of corners much easier, and it really picks up speed vastly faster.
Because of the torque, rev matching is easier, and you really only need the lower half of the rev range for most things. The noise though, worth it all.

Regardless, it looks great. I hope you get years of enjoyment out of it.
No, it's not but thanks I guess. This was a press car, and it did get driven by Road & Track and Autoblog. But you're probably thinking of the Vantage RS concept, the basis of this car. It was also Mako Blue, but only a concept.
From one Mako to another, I love the color!
I only saw one in V12, was at Newport Beach about 3 years ago. Mine's a lowly 4.7, I've only seen one other in a V8 on ebay about 4 years ago, a couple hundred earlier than the VIN of mine.
it takes a few thousand miles on that transmission to become accustomed to it. it's time well spent. i have a porsche cayman in addition to my vantage and the shifting was inferior on it until i bought and installed an aftermarket shifter kit. stay with it is my advice.
