2012 Rapide Garmin GVN54 Navigation bypass or replacement

I recently purchased a 2012 Rapide and found that the Garmin module, together with some other modules had some water damage. Instead of replacing the Garmin module, is it possible to bypass it or install a different navigation system in its place. I’m in North America if that matters for the navigation model.
Thank you

The Aston Installations Android Auto/Carplay setup seems like a great replacement. I believe it bypasses the Garmin module by playing audio out of the CD changer and video is through a separate input. The only downside is the Android isn't wireless (only Carplay is wireless) and the OEM nav screen is utter garbage.

It's pretty essential, IMO, to get Waze cop alerts on a big screen.

Thank you for your response. I will check into them.
My main concern is how to bypass the entire Garmin module under the back seat. That particular module, when removed, creates many electrical gremlins. It would be so simple to just remove the Sat Nav module and have the other modules still talk to each other. After all who still uses Garmin for GPS?

Good point -- email Aston Installations. They'll know for sure.
The Garmin module might control screen popup (either that, or the audio module under it does). Some Vantages have no nav screen, so the Garmin can definitely be coded out by AMDS.
