New definition of loud pedal…

Hello, I’m the proud new owner of a 2015 V8 Vantage GT roadster with a 6 speed manual and have not posted before.
I had a 2009 coupe with a 6 speed that I bought new and was my daily driver for 4 years and loved it.
I bought the roadster sight unseen and it arrived yesterday.
I was told by the dealer that it had an after market exhaust which I thought was a good thing because it was my impression that Vantages after 2009 sounded a little more tame.
This, however, is not tame. It is screaming beast!!
I took it out for a spin and the performance was so amazing that it made me laugh out loud (or I think I did, I couldn’t hear anything but the car).
Of course, during my 20 mile ride I saw my neighbors come out of their homes to see what was going on, I saw a woman pick up her dog, other people ran for cover and the airport authority called to complain about the noise level. Just kidding on the last two…..
Anyway, with a little digging I discovered that my setup is a Quicksilver Supersport Plus with CAT delete pipes.
So, I love the performance but maybe it could be a tiny bit quieter.
I have the removed CATs so I’m thinking of putting them back on and trying it.
Am I wasting my time?
Thanks,
Bill

Congratulations on your GT!
I have 2016 myself and I just removed the secondary Cats and put on a Fabspeed X-pipe
that goes to the stock Sport exhaust, I think its quite perfect.
I think if you change out the Quicksilver exhaust you might be happier.

I just put a Quicksilver on my 2011 V8 Vantage - I think it's the touring exhaust (I bought it used). I want a bit more sound - so maybe 200 cell cats???

I have a V8V with the Quicksilver SuperSport Plus also. It was great until I put high flow cats on it and now it’s…. obnoxious. Anything above 1/4 throttle or 2800 RPM is nuts and it sounds like I’m hammering on it when I leave a stoplight.

I’m going to sell the Quicksilver exhaust and put a Velocity AP Valvetronic on it, to settle down the low throttle/load areas while still letting it scream when I really want it to. I can fee the power difference with the headers/cats/x-pipe so I don’t want to give those up to quiet it down.

It does sound GOOD, just too dang loud!

Putting cats back in would quiet yours down a lot. Conversely, pulling them or high flows will increase it a lot for those looking for more volume.

I have 2015 GT with Larini and secondary cat delete. I had X pipe at first, but it was really quiet. The Larini has valves, but I normally run with fuse pulled. It sounds wonderful, don't feel it's too loud.

Thank you all for the input.
I think I’ll try putting the cats back in and trying it out since that’s the least expensive option. If that isn’t satisfactory, I’ll get the Quicksilver Sport rear section and remove the cats.

You may want to purchase a valved back box. Quicksilver does not make one.
