New mods incoming!

So I had no plans to mod my Vantage but a deal came along in the marketplace and that too from another Canadian member that I couldn't pass on. I've only had the car for 3-4 months and I was feeling a little bored and talking to my guys about the F430 and some other Lambo options but then I decided to take the plunge and order these parts in the hopes that they will make me get into the car more and enable me to keep it for AT LEAST a year. I purchased 2 year warranty with it so I think I should at least keep it for most of that time...financially prudently speaking.

Anyway, on the way is a RSC exhaust and a Quicksilver 200 cel hi flow cats that I plan to get installed next week. I do plan to take a before and after video of how the car sounds (without flap open, with flap open and then after the mods) and hopefully I won't get too lazy. Anyway, if someone has a similar setup please feel free to share some clips and thoughts. Just excited so thought I'd share my excitement with fellow gentlemen racers.

Tried some youtube search? Surely it's been done I would think.

Good move. I started that route as well 10 years ago and was so please both in sound and performance. It’s a very slippery slope though as I have since added another couple dozen mods. Car is a completely different vehicle in feel and overall performance. It’s actually a bit of a beast for a lil 4.3 Vantage. Breaks the 305 wide PS4’s loose in second now . 10 years later, it’s essentially a fourth child and will never be sold.

couldn't find anything... tons of stuff with 200 cell cats, different exhausts... lots of stuff from the 4.3L... nothing about taking off secondary cats on a 4.7 with stock exhaust

It definitely is an addiction. However I get bored of so fast that I never end up having enough time with to mod them like crazy. Except for my first car 350Z which was also the car I owned the longest ever (2 years). Since then I've gone crazy with a bunch new M's and an AMG and benz/bmw's to 3-4 months ago the Aston. Already started to find it a bit boring and mundane (I know..messed up) so decided to mod a bit. Really don't see myself keeping it any longer 1-2 years but also I don't intend to change it until I can buy another exotic like Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren etc. So let's see hopefully this mod will keep me interested in it for agile. Fingers crossed.

Strange. I guess the only way to find out then is to try it out yourself. Typically deleting the cats make the car louder anyway so the chances of going wrong would perhaps be trivial?

Try looking here on the forum for videos. There are some showing just cats out etc.....

I also recommend VelocityAP for those parts. I have used them extensively for parts and Stuart always takes care of me. They have videos showing thier sounds also. if you dont have a Tune, then you need to get that along with those parts. Not for functionality but for driving itself. The tunes really wake the cars up and really make a difference. The first time i put the tune on my DB9 it shocked me. I had had tunes for my AMG's by a diff company and never really noticed any difference. But the ones for the Aston really do. Same as the VElocityAP Tune for my RRS. Wow makes a huge difference in feel, throttle sensitivity.

Hope that helps you a bit.

If your getting tired of your Vantage------Suggestions to make it yours; Get a tune, get the exhaust right, then change up the look and make even more special. Wheels by BC Forged, V12V hood, lowering springs, black out the roof and tail section. you would still have a great car, but it would be unique now. MUCH BETTER than a F430 and more comfortable than all of them except a McLaren. Unless you go with a new 300k plus exotic.

Secondary cat delete

I currently have Velocity AP x pipe and tune with extra pops, looking to go secondary cat bypass either using Stuart's offering or OEM cat delete from the GT8

Here's an AMR with secondary cat delete

If anyone is interested. Here are a couple of quick clips of my Aston after the exhaust mod.
