Occupancy Weight Sensor Module P0113 (SRS-0113)
Occupancy Weight Sensor Module P0113 (SRS-0113)
I've been battling an Occupancy Weight Sensor module issue lately on my 09 Vantage Roadster. I've been getting P0113 (SRS-0013 Occupancy Classification Sensor (OCS) internal ECU fault) and P0116 (SRS-0116 Occupancy Classification Sensor (OCS) indeterminant fault). These are related to the weight sensing module under the passenger seat that senses when an occupant is over 70 lbs and turns the passenger airbag on and off accordingly. I've replaced the module with a brand new one, recalibrated the sensors per the procedure with the Foxwell, clear the SRS codes, and everything is good for about 20 mins. I can see the passenger airbag light is going on and off with me sitting in the seat and then getting out of it, and the Live Data in the Foxwell is reading the same, showing that the airbag is active when the right amount of weight is put on the seat.
Then if I cycle the key and leave it out of the ignition for maybe ~10s, the error comes back and the passenger airbag turns off. I can get it working again if I recalibrate the seat and clear the codes, but that doesn't seem very safe. This is driving me crazy, what could possibly be causing this?

i've had a similar "air bag" warning light on my dash a few times and i've managed to rid myself of them. i can't quite remember, but i think i may have simply moved the passenger back too far and ended up moving it farward and backward a few times and that may managed to do the trick. i do know i didn't have to replace anything. IOW it was just another red herring.
I think this one may be a legitimate error. I tried clearing the codes and then cycling the seat back and forth a few times, but it came back. Is there a specific seat calibration procedure like there is for the driver seat?
Did you ever resolve the issue? I have a similar one.
