Passenger seat airbag light on

Hi Everyone, I have a 2014 Vanquish. The passenger seat reclines back but does not move front to back.I have ready about issues with the seat needing to be calibrated. It mentioned starting with the drives seat but the driver's seat is perfect. I am wondering if it's the switch that's bad or it just needs calibration. I do have a Foxwell obd2 reader but I am not able to get any codes when I run the diagnostics.

Any feedback appreciated.

You most likely have to have the seat recalibrated along with the calibration of the seat weight sensor for the SRS system. Which would involve a dealer visit to the bigger computer. May want to have the vehicle battery checked or replaced beforehand as a low voltage issue could have caused a fault. Electrical 101, start with a good battery.

acole is infamous around these parts
I know this is an old thread, but I just figured out how to do this without going to the dealer. I have a 2009 V8 Vantage, so I'm not sure if it's exactly the same, but given the similarities of these cars, I wouldn't be surprised.

Using the Foxwell NT530, I downloaded the additional Volvo software. Then selecting a 2009 V50 as the car (base trans, engine, etc) I went to the Supplemental Restraints System (SRS) Module. From there, you're able to select a 'special features' option, or something like that, and underneath that is an option to recalibrate the Occupancy Weight Sensor. It walks you through the procedure, but basically, you cycle the key from on-off-on and wait 10 seconds and that's it. In my opinion, the $80 for the additional Volvo software beats a visit to the dealer. I'm not positive, but you might be able to reset an airbag light from this module as well as the whole SRS is a Volvo system.

I reset the airbag sensor with my Foxwell and the Aston module last year and hasn't popped back up again... I've used Volvo codes on my Autel code reader in the past.

This one is specific to the Passenger seat "Occupancy Weight Sensor (OWS) Calibration", the special features in the Aston Restraints System Module don't allow for the calibration and a lot of the suggestions I had seen recommended taking it to the dealer to get it done.

This seems like feedback that could be given to Foxwell, and perhaps they can update their Aston Martin software to accommodate? Great find acole.
