Outdoor car cover for 2010 Vantage?

Anyone use an outdoor car cover for a VH platform Vantage? I have a bit of a garage problem at home and the Vantage will likely spend some time outdoors for a while. It seems there may be a cover sold by AM/dealers but I’m not sure. Otherwise a bunch of companies claim to sell tailored covers for just about any car made but that makes me a bit nervous as to fit and finish.

Thoughts appreciated.

Rudy

I've ordered many covers from California Car Cover, including one for my 2013 Vantage. Multiple options for indoor & outdoor storage. Custom fit. Highly recommended. www.calcarcover.com

I have a coverking for sale right now in this forum if you're interested. Fits 2010 Vantage. It is an outdoor fitted cover and was commissioned by AMNA.

California Car Cover Superweave Premium all weather cover is a great one. It's very light weight, so folded up it does not take up much room. Dries out fast if rained on or night time moisture. I have for all my cars outdoors.

I’ve considered putting a car cover on, but don’t want to scratch the clear coat. Is there concern about scratching the paint with these car covers?

Any cover can leave micro scratches that would be easily polished out. Don't cover a car that is not clean, or leave the cover on in the wind. But better to cover than than let it bake in the sun.

Have you thought about getting one of those canopy type covers just to keep the sun and rain off of it? I'm assuming you can still park in driveway, just not in garage...

ironically, i've just decided, after discussing the pros and cons with my car detailer, to abandon the use of my car cover altogether after deciding that the use of it, in my case anyway, may be causing more harm than good.

and the canopy type cover may be the best compromise of all. no touching the car yet protecting from sun and the elements.
