Ian Callum Interview

In case you haven't seen this, it's really worth a watch. Ignore the title "The V12 Vantage Zagato Story..."; the interview covers Astons from the DB7 forward. I was personally surprised to hear how much of Ian Callum was in the DB9, as I'd previously thought that was mostly Henrik Fisker's baby (Callum said that Fisker's biggest input was the taillights). Also, interesting stuff about the V8V.

Right? He talks it up so much. Did they ever show it?

I dug into the mid engine concept a bit and came up with the designation of AM305, the photos I found could very well be it. I don't read or speak Polish, but this is what I'd guess is the mock up Callum is referring to. I think at the time, as a contemporary, its a good looking car. In hindsight? I still think the early Vantage as a production car are far prettier. I'm struck by the similarities and I think we know why the production car has that hatchback now...
