Third Party PPI

I am having a third party company inspect a 2013 Sportshift Vantage ( I cannot personally inspect the the car as I am in a different state). Anything specific they should be looking at or for? i.e. issues specific to an Aston Martin.

Everything Matt said is good for them to look at.

To provide a bit more info on some of those points: make sure they're lifting the car by the outer frame rails, not the inner rails. The inner rails are not designed to take the weight of the car.
The headlight condensation issue is huge because last I checked they cost over $2,000 EACH to replace.

From my own experience: make sure the car comes with all the loose equipment it had from the factory. Leather-bound owner's manual ($450), umbrella ($345), package tray ($600), at least one crystal key ($1850 plus programming), two plastic keys ($295 plus programming), tool kit, tire repair/inflator kit. The car I bought was missing all these things because it was at a Carmax at some point in its history and someone who worked there strip-mined it for everything they could sell on Ebay. If any of these are missing, knock that price down.

Re: the umbrella, if of course, the car was originally optioned with one. Look for the factory list by logging into techinfo site or ask the PPI person to look for 2 straps in the boot.

I could be mistaken but are we supposed to get 2 plastic keys and 1 crystal key as standard? I had a '14 and now a '17. Each came with 2 crystals + 1 plastic + 1 mechanical key.

Most PPI guys will do a thorough mechanical inspection, but not all have a keen eye for cosmetics. Have them specifically look for the dreaded aluminum oxidation bubbling on the edges of the doors, and on the hood. Also have them check the interior dash, specifically the leather around the binacle to see if it's shrunk. One last thing is gave them check to see if the fuel door release is working properly.

The oxidation takes a keen eye to see depending where it is. Look for corrosion on suspension and everywhere underneath. See if you can get a video of each corner underneath, along with the engine and rear end from underneath.
