V8V Oil Cooler

Hi guys -- I'm going to need to replace the front oil cooler on my 2008 V8V, as it has a dent in the top. It's still functional and not leaking, but must be replaced.

As you may know, factory AM coolers are over $2k now. Not really interested in paying that for a relatively simple part like an oil cooler unless I have to.

So I have a couple of questions.

First, I spoke with Bell Intercoolers about making a custom oil cooler for the car (they did this successfully for a YouTuber restoring a V8V a while back) and they can make me one for $1000. Thing is, according to them the hose fittings are an odd size, so they'd need my original cooler to cannibalize the fittings and install them on the new unit. Which is fine, but that means my car will be laid up for the better part of a month.

So first and foremost I was wondering if anyone had any information on the fitting size and whether they could be sourced. Setrab (the OEM manufacturer of the unit) also sells fittings, but I really don't know the size needed or if they're even available. Apparently the hose fitting on these cars is pretty massive. http://www.setrabusa.com/products/connections/adapterfittings/index.html

And next, does anyone know if Setrab itself will just build/sell the proper oil cooler for less than Aston OEM? I called their sales department (left a voicemail) and also emailed but haven't heard back from them.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Denny 6.53 is infamous around these parts
Someone with more experience than me can comment on this , but I don't see why a dent on the top makes any difference. If you want to check it, pull the outlet fitting off, put a pan under it, and have someone turn the motor over without starting it. (Hold the gas pedal to the floor.)
If the oil appears to be gushing out, I would forget it.

Sometimes I think that some people overthink some things. Like guys who pull their oil pan drain plug and let it drain for three days. Anyway, everyone should do what they think is best and makes them happy. That's why we own these cars!

Honestly, it's purely cosmetic. The dent is noticeable and I just don't like the way it looks on the car. Mechanic said it's not a big deal and functioning properly. But I see it (LOL).

That's why I'm not really eager to spend two grand just for a cosmetic improvement. But I would like it dealt with at some point nonetheless, if that can happen economically. Otherwise I'll continue to live with it.
