Hi all, I have finally ticked off another item on my bucket list and become a proud owner of a 2019 Aston Martin Vantage. Absolutely love the car but the only thing that needs improvement is the infotainment system. I’m considering installing the Apple CarPlay kit, but have one question. Does anyone have experience in removing the centre console of the 2019+ model. All the searches result in how to do it for the earlier model. Any positive advice would be appreciated.

I had a local installer take care of my Aston Installations CarPlay upgrade, I realize I was taken, but I drive my car and have really enjoyed having a modern infotainment, both on short and long trips . . . Yes, I love the roar of the engine and exhaust, but I also enjoy not getting lost! Good luck on your adventure! KH

I installed an Android tablet over the OEM screen. I still get my radio and Iose the cameras... im not a camera person anyway... I gained all the apps you can install... gets power from 12v in arm rest... Automatically connects to car's BT on start ups...

looks like a good choice. i'm usually much more comfortable with a laptop type OS, and like you, i don't find automobile cameras all that useful. i like radar front and rear with audible warnings but the camera's don't give me a wide enough field of vision for backing with confidence.
for navigation the bigger the screen the better AFAIC. and i demand a voice type interface for selecting destinations ...at a minimum.
