You've never pulled the fuse? I didn't for a couple years, then pulled it. Then put a QS-SS+ in it. It is a little raspy over 4k full throttle but sounds so much better normal driving.

This is one of the distinct differences between the 4.3 and the 4.7. On the 4.3, 200 cell cats (no secondary cats to delete) make a huge difference in sound, even with the factory mufflers. I added a Velocity x-pipe to my 07 as the tone with the 200 cell cats installed was quite raspy. It helped smooth things out a bit, but there is still a lot of rasp. The 200 cell cats are currently on a shelf while I debate reinstalling them.
