I think anything Mr. Clean from BR didn't invent, he's not a fan of.
I had a ride in a 4.3 with GMR last week and its got V12V grunt. Will bolt you in the seat and break the tires pretty much at will. Not sure I'd call $25,000 cheap though. I'd love to feel one on a 4.7.

Alright guys, we got some driving footage ready to go for you.
This car has been sitting for A very long time waiting for this day; so the tires are old, & worn, the gas is old, & found out the clutch on this is slipping.

The good news is, it runs and sounds great!

LINK BELOW. Enjoy.

I think Stuart is correct in the way they are attacking the job by a more realistic and holistic manner. In the end it's not going to be a cheap upgrade as the GMR and maybe the V12S is a better choice. It will be interesting to see what the numbers and performance is like.
So, THIS particular car we have has an engine that has been built specifically to handle additional boost (dropped compression, much stronger internals etc.) So this kit as it sits on this car, with the boost pressures it can run will not be suitable for a stock engine. I believe it was also making somewhere IRO 685RWHP prior to bending a rod & being rebuilt. That said, we did always intend to do some evaluation of the package to see if it could be replicated for use at a lower boost level (say 6-7psi) which could be a lot more compatible with a stock engine. Remembering that this kit uses a proper heat exchanger, unlike the GMR kits which now don't even include water meth unless added in.

At present, there's still a bunch of analysis to be done, drawings & quotations but it's quite possible we might be able to supply these kits for lower boost pressures and nowhere near the GMR pricing.

Great fun to track the progress of SuperVantage!

Something that hasn't been highlighted (or perhaps I missed it) is that this is a centrifugal supercharger vs. GMR's positive displacement kit. GMR's website gives the opinion that the personality of a Vantage V8 fits better with posi displacement. I'm not so sure about that, as the V8V loves to rev. Then there is the ever present whine of most (or maybe all?) positive displacement blowers. That isn't in the character of an Aston.

It will be interesting to see how SuperVantage behaves away from the track (or airport).

I have a 2002 SLK32 which has a supercharger on a solenoid clutch (AKA Mad Max) from the factory. I had a 2001 SLK32 (new) which after a few years the supercharger would not engage. After $10K in warranty claims with no solution (back then) I gave up and sold the car. When it worked the car had instant power and was the most fun to drive, so I bought another two years ago. Since it's long out of warranty I've done a ton of upgrades as well as power upgrades (Needswings.com) jumping from 350HP to estimated 420HP including a ECU and TCU tune. Last year I also bought a 2006 Kleemann SLK55 running about 520HP but on a car that weighs the same as my V8 Vantage (with the added supercharger weight). While the power is there, it's not instant like the SLK32, more linear which might also be the gearing and Mercedes 7 speed automatic partially to blame. I've posted before, but our 600HP Chevy Powered 928 with the 6-71 blower was instant power also, scary power because the 928's rear wheels turn based on torque (semi-4 wheel steering), This passive system I think was not intended to have an engine with 600 lbs. instant torque and pretty much if you were not careful with the throttle it would pick it's own direction. It was a 1982 928 without any nannies that the later models included. It will be interesting to see how the VelocityAP system works.

I've built and tuned a few builds on GM (LS3 platforms) going from NA to FI using stock internals. Vortech S3 Centrifugal units were my goto, and 6PSI on stock internals was the sweet spot. I could tune these to 600hp w/o meth, but any more boost on stock internals I'd at least be starting out by adding meth. To get 6psi I had to double the capacity of the fuel injectors from 40 to 80lbs and getting injector data correct in the tune was a little tricky. I've tuned these both, running a MAF and with speed density. SD was a better way to go as I had to convert from a 1 bar to 3 bar MAP, then fiddle with the MAF output curve. Timing on these tunes was the last, easy part.

I know you cannot compare internals of one mfgr with another, but hopefully, this platform can handle some boost w/stock internals.

Fortunately, the tuning side is probably the easiest part for us. We've already got all the injector slopes done, running larger injectors etc.

Hey guys, lots of updates from the shop lately!

We recently purchased A Jaguar FPace SVR & will be initializing A similar video series as the Super-Vantage series linked above. Our first episode is already on YouTube.

On another hand, our Supercharged Aston Martin is out of the paint booth and back home at VAP HQ!

We were really impressed with JF Kustoms integrity & commitment to making sure they are going to fully rejuvenate our Vantage. We took clips of the actual meetup & have made it into our 10th episode of this series.

Link down below ! More content coming soon !
