2019 Vantage

I have a 2019 Vantage with a reduce power message. No check engine light. Autel Ultra and Foxwell NT710 show 2 diag plugs under the dash, but the car only has 1. Can only scan OBD2, no communication with all other modules. My question is there a better scan tool for this year and model that will do all modules.

I have not been able to get Foxwell to work on 2019. Worked on 2015 which had two obd ports. One was power train second was for body control.

I've searched and searched for a deep scan tool with no joy. Mine is a 2018 DB11 V12. Foxwell TRIED to sell me an NT710 until after several back and forths, proved to the "chat guy" they, in fact, did NOT make a deep diagnostic tool for the latest AMs.

My Autel does just about every car made EXCEPT AM. I was able to do a rudimentary deep scan using MB settings. If you have the MB 4.0L engine, the Autel MIGHT work using a C190 model. But, you are on your own with any results. No recommendation from me for safety reasons.

I bought an Innova brand reader from AutoZone and it reads and clears codes on my 2019 Vantage. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked.

Yes, powertrain codes (P-codes) on all cars (even AMs) are SAE standards and must be able to be read with universal (CAN-BUS) scan tools, even $10 scan tools. I use a $49 hand held Autel that they gave me as a gift when I purchased the MX808 to quickly read powertrain codes.

What we're talking about here and in a deep scan, we want access to ALL codes:
P-codes - power train
B-codes - Body
C-codes - chassis
U-codes - Network (especially these)

It's the B,C,U codes that are proprietary and no tool I have researched can get these on a late model AM.

Here is an example of a deep scan. The tool you have is only doing the first two lines of this scan, so it's the rest of it that's hard to get.

BTW, one other comment - any P-code sets a check engine light, but no other codes (B,C,U) will set a CEL. Those faults manifest in other/different ways usually through dashboard messaging (e.g.: ABS fault).
