DBS issue - car shudder at idle, random minor ticking

Hi all, over the past week or so, my V12 DBS has developed an occasional minor tick and occasional rough idle (via noise, not the rev meter). This morning on the way to work, I received an "emission system required" message along with the amber CEL and a red exclamation to drive slow, urgent service required. These messages both turned off and car operation resumed normally when I restarted the engine. Does anyone know what this may be and whether it's a terminal risk? Checking for advice before I scan codes or visit mechanic. Car has a tune and full catless header back exhaust system recently installed, 40,500 km mileage and recently serviced...could this be the dreaded ticking issue in DB9s?

Have the coil packs been replaced recently? Could be the cause of the shudder.

Did you check the oil level?

Might be good to have the fuel pressure checked out. I've had a slightly rough idle on my DB9 for a while now. No CEL yet, but I did verify the fuel pressure dies off on one bank almost immediately after shutting the engine off. It's supposed to maintain pressure for 12-24 hours, which the other bank on mine does.

I highly recommend a OBDII reader. My foxwell NT520 is really helpful at figuring this out. It will pay for itself in the first use. You are like a blind man chasing Angelina Jolie on a football field without one...

Agreed 100%. I've got the NT530. It's probably functionally identical to the NT520 It knows the AM OBD PIDs and gives a lot more information than a generic OBD reader.

Thanks everyone - OBD scanner on the buy list. I connected the VAP ECU tuning unit and received error codes B1600, P1000 and P1582...I've cleared these and will see if they return to investigate further. I just finished a 30 min drive and seems to be normal again (for now).
