I bought a Rosso Corsa DBS

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2011-aston-martin-dbs-6/

I just recently picked this up and hopefully I’ll have it delivered sometime next week. She’s not perfect, but I think the red is unique and very rare. I also love the interior.

I need to replace the radio waterfall and potentially the carbon fiber front splitters, and the tail light due to condensation.

what’s the best site to go to to accomplish all that? Red pants?

WOW! She's a beauty. Be sure to post more pics!

I do a ton of DIY and regularly source parts from both Scuderia as well as RedPants.
Good luck!

Jim

That's an awesome looking DBS. We were talking about it an AMOC holiday party actually. Terrific price. Well done. A manual DBS just posted too. If it were up to me, I'd take the automatic even though the manual is more sought after.

I wouldn't be so concerned on the tail light condensation right away. They pretty much all do it or will do it. I'd wait until it gives the ghost. Replaced one this year.

Scuderia or Aston Bits are main ones. Red Pants if he has it also great. Used all of them.

Thanks all. I did see the manual DBS pop up on BaT today. That interior is crazy!

This is actually my 2nd DBS I’ve owned. Still have a ‘14 Vanquish Volante and have had a ‘07 Vantage (cheapest one ever sold on BaT) and a Virage that I loss in a house fire

The seller said the CCB squeal a lot. Had that on my Virage but not on the Vanquish.

any recs on that?

also, when I remove that front license plate I’m again those holes are going to drive me nuts. Any solutions that other have use to cover those up?

You can put in plugs and paint them to match.

Congrats, beautiful car! I saw it on BAT.

You should try to get it down to Cars Coffee in Sarasota, second Saturday of each month. Very big show (500 to 600 cars). Next one is Jan 13th. Show is located at the UTC I75 and University.

Check out ECPS as well if you are looking to replace carbon parts. No affiliation other than I have ordered a few things from them. My pieces have not arrived yet, so no comment (yet) on final result. But positive experience thus far and they have many videos you can search up for parts they offer quality they seem to put out. You seem familiar with RedPants and he is featured in a video or two with them as well.

Yes, good advice. That's what I did with my Bentley and the front plate which had no less than 7 HOLES (really?) I purchased plastic plugs at HD then purchased matching spray paint from automotivetuouchup. Total cost was less than $50. The alternative was to remove bumper have holes filled and professionally sprayed. It would have been hundreds.

Look was acceptable for me and in line with the cost and effort:

Try AstonMartinBits.com for the 'waterfall' (it's called a ski slope). I replaced mine with factory new Bamboo which goes better with the Sahara Tan interior for 1/2 the price that Aston would charge.

I'll keep an eye out for you around Tampa, I'm SOG, near the base. The cars and coffee at armature works is also awesome, I'm sure you've seen that one.

V-collection has nice front carbon splitters for DBS. $1k for the set. Good quality that fit just like OEM. Only fault is it may take several weeks to supply as the owner doesn't have a supply and most items are made to order.
