Fully Modifying a 2013 Aston Martin V8V in Under 15 mins

Welp, its finally done, or at least where I want the car and man am I enjoying this car! I've been around for a bit on the Aston forums posting How-Tos and slowly modding the car. Here is the finished product, hope you all enjoy.

From the first day it arrived off of a truck from Las Vegas Lamborghini to how it stands today, this is a full time-lapse video of my friends and I modifying my 2013 Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

Lots of blood, sweat and tears went into this car and looking back on this video makes me very proud.

Took slightly over 3 years to buy all the parts and build.

The best part about this build was the time spent with friends in the garage wrenching, drinking beer, and the amazing trips/rallies/cruises we all went on together as a car family.

Full Sounds clips at the end of the video. Hope you enjoy!

Great job, hats off to you!

I believe you first installed VAP lowering springs before BC racing coilovers w/swift springs. How do they compare with each other?

Great video and very cool mods. I'm glad to see how you've made your Vantage your own.

How many extra bolts did you have leftover when you were done?

Thank you sir. Yes I had springs but they were H&R. Honestly, I loved the springs as the ride quality was really good. However, the roads here are absolute horrid and I was endanger of losing my CF lip a few times. I wanted the adjustability aspect of coilovers. Also love the swift spring. Gives a very natural stock OEM feel but really performs in the corners. Had a professional Aston Martin certified race car driver rip my car to give me feedback and he said it was dialed in perfect. So im good with that feedback as I would never push the limits like he did with my car. First time I've really been scared. I believe it was a 30 mph difference in speed that was carried through the turn between him and I lol.

Yes I have haha but totally worth the memories and time spent with friends in the garage learning about this car.

Yes, spent so much time with vendors and viewing pictures to try and get the look I wanted. Shes a keeper for life. Love this marque!

Thank you. Maybe I could send you a PM and get more information. I put new 20" rims and tires on my car this last summer and with the wider wheels and offsets in seems to accentuate clearance between the tires and fender. I needs to be lower about and inch.

Yea no worries. Feel free to reach out with any questions and I'll try to answer them. Yes 20" does change things a bit, but there are lots of folks that run 20 with a setup that have posted their offset and lowering measurements. 19s were pretty standard and then it took me about 3 weeks to drive and mess with the settings to dial them in. The springs lower the car about 22mm, but I would opt for the Coilovers to ensure that you get the height and damping in correctly.

Very good job Andrew.

I believe you messaged on YT about my V8 with sports muffler. I see that you used same VAP x-pipe & sports muffler as mine. I've been thinking about headers/cats & more interested with coil overs. I have 20 inch wheels & have VAP springs, I like the stance but I could use adjustable dampeners, I feel some yoyo effect/bouncing, If you don't mind please share more info about coil overs via PM.

Thanks
A.P.
