A sense of humor is important. Today the Vantage returned after 36 days and receiving a new cabin harness and steering control module. The transport driver, Wilson, had been here before and wished me luck keeping the car longer this time😀

beautiful day here in central Pa. I sped off in sport mode back to the

Saying hi and bye
office smiling at the cars rumble. I got a bit chilly and went to bring up the drivers window and click. Nada- zilch. I pulled over after 4 glorious miles behind the wheel of my trusty steed and quickly dialed the transporter to see if he was close by. In fact he was just behind me and we reunited. He loaded her back up and back to the shop he went 6. Times since June of 23.

Makes you wonder what is the crossover point for a vehicle swap…it’s heartbreaking to hear that the strife continues….you are without doubt a very patient man…

Wait, what? Already!

Hopefully, HOPEFULLY, they just forgot to plug in the window switch harness in the door panel. There are so many connectors nowadays that you're bound to miss one. I've missed a connector when working on a door panel (and had to take it all back off); I can't imagine the number of plugs they had to do when replacing the entire vehicle harness...

Nope it clicked, just would not go. I think it was jammed into the door waist seal which was sticking catiwompus up out of the door. I tried to reseat it but felt the door panel needed to come off. . Just one of those things. Keep on smiling. I have gotten a very good and jovial relationship with Summit and as frustrated as I am with AML’s response to helping me into another car, I really like and respect Jordan and his gang at Aston Summit. Again posting here has also been good therapy.

Hopefully Aston will credit/extend your warranty to cover the months this car was idle due to repairs.

April 4 update. Car returned to me on April 2. Rain stopped today except for some drizzles. After coffee, on the way to the office I attempted to put my window up. No joy. Same reason it went in last week. Round trip number 8 coming up in the transporter. No one happy.

car back home waiting for AML response. Remains a pretty car!!

I think the solution is, don't put the window down!

Today, April 9, 2024, the car was picked up for 8th time in 10 months. Window glass to be adjusted such that door waist seal stops removing itself and jambing the drivers window.

But as of yesterday, NO A/C. Likely the system was evacuated when harness work was done as I know the coolant system had to be partially opened. Oh and I seem to have coolant smell
pumping into the cabin. I washed the engine bay down over the weekend and the coolant odor seemed to vanish. But its back now.

Does anyone think AML ever visits this forum. Would be fun if they did.

Awaiting attorney to review but this is not a lucrative proposition for them, but I am a patient man!

100% they follow this forum.

Remind me why this car doesn't fall into a lemon law buy back?

Pennsylvania does not have a lemon law on used cars, however, they have very specific guidelines on how a manufacture must title a branded title car to the person
to whom they resell the car (me!) I have found one of the specific 6 specific criteria they must meet upon selling the branded title to the next owner (me) after a buy back which they failed to execute properly. I have provided that
information to a consumer protection attorney for review. Unfortunately I have found little respect for the lemon lawyers serving PA> They only want to do boiler plate new car lemon law claims. If one of them
would listen for half a second, I can show them the one exception in the PA statute that addresses branded titles. Unfortunately, what I have found over the years, not just on this issue, many attorneys are turn and burn.
My perception, and I learned long ago perception is reality, attorneys are very impatient. Their filters are dense and it is hard to get through to them as "their time is so terribly valuable." However, if persistent, one will eventually find
an attorney that gives a hoot and will help you.

Sorry for the rant, but I have spent quite a bit of time trying to get counsel. I too am busy. I own and run a company with more employees than most of the law firms I am contacting. Anyway, as stated many times, I am a patient man and I do plan to prevail.

I find LinkedIn gets the attention of Corporate much better/faster than car forums. You can add the people from AML NA directly into your post. An "ask for advice" post with them included will get their attention within a couple of hours.

A new wrinkle today. I got the car back last week and have been driving it every day, 5 or 6 straight days. The car has a feature that never worked before. When opening the door from the locked position, you always had
to unlock the door with your key even though my manual said you just needed the key with you. I assumed it was a function my car did not have. Today, not realizing the car was locked, I reached for the lever and opened the door setting off the alarm. Yes,
the window is up and I am not reaching in the car but opening from the outside with the car fully locked.

I repeated this and thought maybe I had done something wrong. I called the dealer and asked if I was just dumb or was there a setting I needed to turn off. I turned off all alarms in settings but alas, no joy.

Does someone know the trick or is this another gremlin. For obvious reasons, I am not wanting to jump the gun and just assume it is something I am doing wrong.
