Tashakes is infamous around these parts
I have a ThinkDiag (not the Mini) and have coded the keyless entry part. I’m not sure the mini has that feature. It shows mine can also program a key. I have bought a couple of Jaguar keys but have not cut them or programmed them. For the price it’s a great tool.

Haha..thanks for that…I guess I knew it would be the more expensive one..my nt doesn’t programme keys or fob…but have been advised that the thinkdiag can..I have the fob…but the dealership said they couldn’t programme it…well it’s a 4 hour drive each way to the dealer….and not programming it cost me 250$….so maybe a thinkdiag2 may well be in my future…lol

The dealership can't program it, or they don't want to? Hard to imagine that ThinkDiag can do it if AMDS can't.

Have you checked with VelocityAP? Nearly as far as the dealer from you, but they have AMDS.

Hey yvr…I took it to the dealers last year when we went to the abfm van dusen…they had it for a morning…and programmed the key…but foiled with the fob…I spoke with Stewart and he cannot do the key programming the key supplier..based in the uk…assured me the key a
was Aston martin sourced and all the codes were present….dealership js impossible to get a hold of..left countless messages..and called…never pick up..and I’m stuck with 2 keys and only one fob….makes me a little nervous…lol..just trying to resolve it before the season..

This might be because of the frequency difference: 433 MHz in UK, 315 in the USA.
So the dealer could program your "UK" key to start/stop the car, but NOT to lock/unlock the car.
