New purchase vantage dogleg
I'm surprised the dealer is not willing to negotiate the price. Pretty sure the car was for sale when I bought my Vantage last year and the dealer has been steadily lowering the price since then. My view is the 1 of 1 2020 non AMR Vantage with a manual does not add anything to the value. If anything, people will pay a premium for the AMR badge. But it's a great car regardless of the badging and I would recommend it if you can get a good deal on it. Also, I have a manual on my Vantage as well, and you get used to the dogleg pattern pretty quickly, Funny thing is when I drive my son's BMW with a manual, my instinct for first gear is now based on the dogleg.
Today he is non negotiable….but who knows where he will go if the car continues to sit.. I always tend to look at the cars future “value”
which we all know is generally poor with AM unless it’s really something special.
Thanks for your input

While I cant speak to the value of the car you are looking at, I can say that I really enjoy my 2020 AMR manual car. Once my brain got used to the dogleg shift pattern, it is a hoot to drive and I am really enjoying the car. I do agree with one of the other posters who made the statement as to that car being a test mule and probably driven hard. I remember seeing it for sale when I was looking and it did not give me a good feeling about that car after reading the ad.
