New purchase vantage dogleg
New purchase vantage dogleg
In the process of finalizing a one of a kind 2020 Vantage built with a Dogleg transmission.
The car is a non AMR, although was told it was specifically built by the AMR division.
I plan to keep the car, but am curious to know , being a one of one model, where it’s value is?
Thanks in advance

What mileage does the car has, coupe/convertible, and you are US or UK based?
cheers, Simon
Please post pictures once you get it! Dogleg is the way to go. Why that hadn't become the default patter from manuals is beyond me!

The only dogleg I owned was an '85 Maserati Biturbo E. Transmission was the most reliable part of the car...
Because it’s a pain to drive in stop and go traffic. The first to second shift requires getting used to as you can just as easily go to forth gear when you are trying for second gear. The strength of the dog leg is in the second through seventh gear shifts.
Those dogleg shift are more for track use as 2 to 3 are in line with each other and you will never use 1st beside pitstop :-) I had one in one of my first car Datsun GX310 and nobody was able to get use to it
I know the car you're referencing . Congrats! Just to note, in case you missed it. An 800mile well spec'd 2020 AMR just went for $125k on BaT, and a 1,800mile 2021 just no-saled at $127k. I hope you were able to negotiate on this one, despite whatever provenance they dealer is pushing. Let us know how you made out!
They aren’t budging on price…it has mileage (12k) and no real documented history.
I feel it is definitely priced high especially what has sold in past.
i am also not sure if the sports plus seat are as comfortable as I want.
I also hate depreciation…and I know that’s an issue here.
Thanks for your input

I hear you and agree Peter. To note, they started asking $210k for that car when they first listed it a LONG time ago based on the same story they're likely selling you. They say "factory development vehicle", I hear "test mule driven hard". It looks taken care of but, for me that's more like $110k given the market now. Again, best of luck!
