Hey team! Thanks for the recent add. I'm in the market for my first AM and have found one in New Jersey near the Hudson River. Anyone know of an expert or Aston mechanic that could do an onsite pre purchase inspection?

 

I don't know anyone that I would trust which would do an on-site inspection. Most want to be able to put it up on a lift so they can get a good look at things.

If possible, you could see if it could be sent over to the dealer in Summit NJ to do a full inspection. Of course, even a full inspection isn't perfect because its not like they disassemble the engine. You have to go by a combination of history, inspection, and just a feel for who you are dealing with that is selling the car.

Also, depending on what year the car is, you may be able to get a warranty which could alleviate some of the unknowns, at a cost, of course. Not to mention the kind of things to look out for. Big difference between a 2020 Vantage, 2006 DB9, and a 2003 Vanquish.
