2011 Vantage Clutch Replacement?
2011 Vantage Clutch Replacement?
Hi newbie Aston owner here. I purchased a 2011 Vantage from repo auction obviously knowing it needs work. The main issue am having is it will go into gear or reverse but it’s not moving no fault lights exept an emissions code. Asm pump runs, hear the gear click, and fluid is full. Disconnected the battery for a few days and today reconnected and the car drove, shifted through gears and reverse a little clunky but I didn’t feel much slippage. Shut it off when I got back and
when I restarted it same as before no movement. I would assume from what I see on here that a clutch replacement is needed….am I going in the right direction?

How many miles on it? Ideally it would be beneficial to read the clutch bits. Recommend buying a Foxwell scan tool with AM vehicle software to do that.
Your hunch sounds most likely and will need one soon. SS clutches usually go 40k miles. Sooner if abused, longer if babied.

77k miles on it, clutch was changed at 32k according to carfax. I was looking into the best scanner I will take a look at the foxwell being amds cost more than I paid for the car lol
